Initial Teacher Training
Are you newly graduated and want be a teacher?
School Direct is an exciting opportunity to attend a school led training course which enables you to spend most of your time training in school over a period of a year. This route into teaching is for graduates who prefer the more ‘hands on’ approach. Straight away you will be placed with an outstanding teacher, learning from the very best. You will need to attend the University Of Worcester for approximately 26 days over the year and you will have experience teaching in 2 of our partnership schools.
PGCE award: Students achieving 60 credits at Masters level and meeting the requirements for QTS will be awarded Postgraduate Certificate in Education with QTS.

School Direct (unsalaried) –General Primary
The School Direct Programme allows schools to recruit and train their own teachers. The course lasts for 1 year and is full time. The 26 contact days will be at The University Of Worcester and the fees will be approximately £9000 a year. For more information please see the links below
*GCSEs in English, Maths and Science grade C or above
*An honours graduate having achieved 2:2 honours degree or above
*Evidence of recent school based experience before applying
*Professional skills tests need to be passed or a date secured at the time of the interview.
