We are enjoying exploring our Reception environment, there are lots of lovely spaces. Our classroom has a discovery area where we can explore natural objects as well as magnets, binoculars and magnifying glasses. We also have lots of small world, construction and technology toys.

In Reception we get to play in the other classrooms as well. Mrs Osborne has the messy play, we can play with playdough and water as well as exploring colours through mixing in the painting area. Mrs Ball has the 'quiet' classroom where we can listen to stories and rhymes in the listening station, explore the reading garden, create puppet shows and role play some things we have seen grown-ups do and some things we have thought up by our selves.

We also have two playground spaces to explore. The top playground has a huge sand pit, mud kitchen (where we make lots of food and potions!) and climbing frame. We also have access to a variety of bikes, scooters and sports equipment. On the bottom playground we have a mark making area and a water area. We also love making balancing courses using the building blocks, you will always see us trying new things with our friends!

We are all confident to come in, find our friends and choose activities to play with first thing in the morning. Most of us can find our name and put it on the caterpillar so grown-ups know we are here, we are even starting to recognise which number is next to our name.

We enjoy joining in at carpet time and showing everyone what we know and we have been learning to read and write! Please look at our displays if you want to see some of our wonderful work and brilliant thoughts.

Now it is getting colder please remember to send us with warm coats, we are very good at putting them on independently and we remember to hang them up when we come inside. If we find putting our coats on a little tricky, dont worry! One of our grown-ups will give us a helping hand.
